In early November 2021, our 3-year-old sat down and we helped him write out a thoughtful letter to Father Christmas that we were going to send off as part of the Royal Mail Letter to Santa scheme. As the weeks went by, it was looking likely that he wasn’t going to get a reply.
With a few days to go, I wrote the letter out myself, and added a few magical touches that I knew he would appreciate – some faux snow flakes, the smell of chocolate chip cookies and a red and white kraft tie.
